Let me introduce you our Prata’s flying the Smokey Phoenix (Phoenix). This boy is a piece of our legacy to go on. I am proud of him. He comes from two CHIC qualified parents and he is CHIC qualified himself. He has a good pedigree with top quality OES. His pedigree will lead us to some of the best OES produced globally. Trust me, it is a big list of worldwide champions and grand champions in his background. I am honored to have produced him. Above all, he brings diversity and low COI to the OES breed. Which means healthier puppies on our next generations. We could not be any happier with this boy!
Because he doesn't deny his genes, he has an authentic OES personality being gorgeous, healthy, even tempered, gentle, sweet, loving, goofy, gives us kisses, hugs... Well, I would stay here many hours describing how good he is and I would not be able to say it all. He is amazing and he has one of the best personalities a dog could have. It is also important to mention that Phoenix is part of our breeding program, because of the potential he has. He is one of the main pillars moving forward. He is part of our commitment to the betterment of the OES breed, in general. He has also started his AKC show career. Hopefully, soon He will be an AKC Champion Dog. You can follow his points progression and the shows he is attending, down below.
Besides being beautiful and an excellent dog to our family, Phoenix is a very healthy dog. He has got her CHIC (Canine Health Information Center) number from OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) after being submitted and approved on 9 OFA canines health screening tests, 8 of those tests are specific for the OES breed. Among those health tests, Phoenix has been tested for, you will find BAER (congenital deafness), Hips Dysplasia, Elbows Dysplasia, Eyes (CAER), Thyroid, EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse), Cardiac Evaluation, Cerebellar Degeneration, Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD) and Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1). However, he carries one copy of Cerebellar Degeneration which doesn't affect him or the puppies he produces. These health tests are the primary health tests that any and all breeders should perform on their parents dog before pairing them for breeding purposes. They are recommended by the OES's parent club. Also, a good breeder should have the results published on the OFA website.
His point progression, pedigree, OFA tests, genetic test and DNA test results are all listed down below along with links to the original website.
