Let me introduce you our Prata's Didn't You See That Coming (Quest) out of CH Royal Croft Q1 x Prata's Ewe Made Me Smile. He is a piece of Prata's legacy to go on.
I will start it saying that apples don't fall far from their trees and Quest exemplifies quite well our breed standard just as I anticipated him to. He is a flawless mover with a short back, long neck and square body. He also has a good face expression, massive head size and a very well balanced reach and drive. He has a solid and authentic OES personality. He is even tempered, gentle, sweet, loving and goofy. Quest is a great dog and he has a great temperament and one of the best personalities a dog can have. Yes, I am very proud of him. Quest is part of my first generation of bred-by-exhibitor show dogs. Besides conformation, he also brings diversity and low COI to the OES breed. Through him, I prove my commitment to the betterment of the OES breed.
Besides being beautiful and an excellent dog to our family, Quest is a very healthy dog. He has got his CHIC (Canine Health Information Center) number from OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) after being submitted and approved on 10 OFA canines health screening tests, 9 of those tests being specific for the OES breed. However, we go beyond the requirements when it comes to health testing our breeding dogs. Among those health tests, Quest has been tested for, you will find BAER (congenital deafness), Hips Dysplasia, Elbows Dysplasia, Eyes (CAER), Thyroid, EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse), Cardiac Evaluation, Cerebellar Degeneration, Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD) and Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1) and he is also genetic clear for over 240 diseases (including our breed specific diseases). These health tests are the primary health tests that any and all breeders should perform on their parents dog before pairing them for breeding purposes. They are recommended by the OES parent club here in America. Also, a good breeder should have the results publicly published on the OFA website.
Quest has also started his AKC show career and has received a few points towards his AKC Championship. You can check his points progression, the shows he has attended, his pedigree, his OFA tests, genetic test and DNA test results down below along with links to the original website.
